Kansas City Zombie Walk in May!
We're looking at a tentative date of Saturday, May 10th...at 6:00 PM...in Westport. We'll meet at a specific spot, walk through the streets of Westport, and have an informal pubcrawl afterwards. More definite plans posted soon. Even if you aren't a big horror fan...or a zombie-person...this is going to be a lot of fun.
Can you help us spread the word about this event and this website?

Elmwood Cemetery Clean-Up/Tour on Mar. 8th
Hey...we're going to Elmwood Cemetery at Noon on March 8th. We're going to do some clean up, explore the cemetery a bit, and tour the beautiful old stone chapel at the center of the Cemetery. The Cemetery and the Chapel are an important part of Kansas City History...why don't you come out and help? It will be fun...
:-)
Bring limbcutters, rakes, and work gloves if you have them. If you don't, then just bring yourself! And make sure you bring a camera if you have one. You'll probably want to take some photos. Elmwood is at 4900 E Truman Rd in Kansas City, MO. Go HERE for more details:
A lot of great folks are already coming to this...I hope to see you there too!

An Evening at Camp Gaea
Ghost Vigil isn't all about hard work and toil, you know! We've developed some strong friendships within the group, and Edward suggested we all go out to Gaea Retreat and have a cookout and tour some of the interesting locations out at th Camp. We decided to go out there to honor this time of year...Lammas...the "Fruits of First Harvest."
We built a big fire, ate food, drank mead and beer, visited the Fairy Gate and Hearn's Hollow, talked and laughed, and just had a great time. A small group participated in a small Lammas ritual to mark the importance of the Holiday. And late in the night, we all wandered back to our normal everyday lives....leaving the magic to Gaea Retreat behind us.

Festival of the Three Moons
The Festival of the Three Moons this weekend was very rewarding. Jamie King and I gave three different workshops on behalf of Ghost Vigil Investigations. We had about 50 people at our "Investigating a Pagan Ritual" workshop. Then that night there were about 70 people at the "Ghost Hunting Basics" workshop. Earlier today, there were about 60 people at the "Psi Theory" workshop.

The people at the workshops were very engaged, asked a stream of interesting and insightful questions, and we had to cut every single one of the workshops off before everyone had asked all their questions. It was great. Altogher, I spent three hours and 45 minutes talking to an audience about the paranormal.
We handed out Ghost Vigil business cards to every single person who attended our workshops...so I'm hoping to hear from some of the participants on the website or by e-mail! There were over 500 pagans attending the Festival...tons of merchants, and workshops, and all sorts of interesting things to see and do...
More about the Festival soon...

Mount Hope Cemetery
On a trip up to Omaha from Kansas City this weekend, Jennifer and I stopped at an amazing old cemetery in Corning, Missouri called Mount Hope. Rather than being a flat neatly trimmed green grass cemtery, Mount Hope climbs a towering hill and it covered with thick native grasses. Its well worth a look. I've posted 64 photos of Mount Hope in the Explorations section of our website...

Ghost Vigil on Fox 4 News
In November of 2006 Ghost Vigil Investigations took 18 investigators to Union Station in Kansas City...and conducted a large sprawling paranormal investigation there.
We broke into four teams, and included members of the Union Station staff and a Fox 4 News crew in our efforts. It was quite an operation to organize...and we are still working on our final investigation report.
But...for some real insight into our methods, view THIS VIDEO of the Fox 4 News story that aired in February of 2007!
